On 22 November 1978 was presented with the Ledl Tanga, the prototype of an independent sports car. In September 1981 we went with the model Ledl AS in production. The two-seater vehicle had a design of super sports cars leaning wedge-shaped body made from fiberglass, with the engine, this was limited to four-cylinder engines made by Ford
Because of problems with the typing of the car for the Austrian market Ledl had to concentrate on export. A total of 249 were copies of the Ledl AS, some of which were sold as far away as Japan and New Zealand. In Austria, however, only 17 vehicles by court order be approved for road traffic. 1987 meant the introduction of catalyst required in Austria, the end of production: the production to the availability of the new Ford engines was not financially able to sustain them for such a small company.
The production of the buggies was continued until 1994. Today, the company manufactures under the name Ledl tuning sport car accessories.
